Apstrakt

Svaka voda koja prolazi kroz različite procese menja svoja svojstva i počinje gubiti svoju prirodnu ravnotežu. Tvrdoća unutar vode uzrokuje mnoge probleme u domaćinstvu i industriji. Sve veći zahtevi za vodom visokog kvaliteta doveli su do razvoja modernih i sa ekonomskog aspekta učinkovitih tehnologija za omekšavanje vrlo tvrde vode. Jedna od tih tehnika jeste elektrokoagulacijski ili elektrohemijski proces (EC). Cilj prikazanog istraživanja je ispitivanje učinkovitosti EC procesa u uklanjanju tvrdoće vode korišćenjem štapnih elektroda od titanijuma u različitim okolnostima i poređenje sa konvencionalim sistemima koji koriste hemikalije. Istraživanje je sprovedeno na pilot postrojenju pod nazivom Universal Environmental Tehnnology sistem (UET sistem). Postrojenje se sastoji od toplotne pumpe, razmenjivača toplote, kule za hlađenje i UET reaktora. Pomoću UET sistema je utvrđeno da se ravnoteža vode može obnoviti otklanjanjem samo onih minerala koji remete proces. Strujanjem kroz UET elektrohemijski proces, voda se vraća u svoju ravnotežu unutar reakcijske komore, ostavljajući celi sistem bez naslaga, korozije i biološke kontaminacije.
