Apstrakt

„Toplotna pumpa“ je postala popularna reč u industriji hlađenja i klimatizacije, a prateća tehnologija tema je dekarbonizacije. Međutim, mnogi o toplotnim pumpama razmišljaju kao o delu sistema za klimatizaciju u domaćinstvu, koje leti mogu hladiti, a zimi grejati, pa gde se toplotna pumpa uklapa u velike industrijske sisteme i da li je to dobra ideja? U industrijskim aplikacijama, koje mogu da iskoriste i hladnu i toplu stranu toplotne pumpe, poslovni slučaj može biti veoma atraktivan jer uštede koje se mogu postići tokom radnog veka mogu biti veoma značajne.
Mnogi gradovi se bore sa zagađenjem vazduha i, na globalnom nivou, procenjuju SZO, FAO i drugi da između 8 i 10 miliona ljudi prerano umre svake godine zbog zagađenja vazduha. Zaustavljanjem upotrebe fosilnih goriva uključujući gas, naftu i ugalj – ali i biomasu itd. – gradovi mogu smanjiti zagađenje. Korišćenjem toplotnih pumpi u industrijskim procesima, samo u EU se broj kotlova može smanjiti za oko 5 miliona, što znači i eliminaciju fosilnih goriva.
