Apstrakt

The term sustainable development originated in the middle of the 20th century as a consequence of the increasingly pronounced temporality and unsustainability of the ideology of economic growth, in which seemingly positive economic flows and technological processes have negative and increasingly visible longterm consequences. The basic principle of sustainable development is equality and as such is emphasized in the Charter of the United Nations. It dictates that present and future generations have an equal right to life, use of the environment and all its resources and potentials. Climate change is just one of the consequences of the unsustainability we have brought our only environment, planet Earth, into. The consequences of climate changes threaten the existence of all living beings.
